Bonfire night in Porthtowan came and went without much excitement. The village are use to having the Bonfire and Firework display at the Unicorn on the night. This year was different, with new owners of the Unicorn up until last week there wasn't to be anything happening. But, yesterday as I was driving home I spotted a mound of wood and sorts building up in the Bonfire spot. I quickly found out from the Village shop that 'yes' there is to be a Bonfire and Firework display on Saturday night. This means that Porthtowan will be very lively tonight with visitors coming far and wide.Lets hope it matches up to previous fantastic displays.
